Robotics OlympiadTM is a Championship which arises from a vision of building the most rigorous and diverse competition series in Robotics for School students in India.
In its flagship year, Robotics OlympiadTM '14 (RO '14) introduces India's first Humanoid competition for schools. It also introduces India's first Aqua wars competition as well as PS2 controlled wireless terrestrial vehicle race for school students.
India will form the nerve-center of this mega-event where international teams will join the Indian finalists in a major showdown every January, the first of which is being held on January 17, 18 & 19 of 2014 at Mumbai (India). Various rounds of competition will be conducted in many cities across India, which will start from November 2013.
The Final event will be one of the biggest of its kind in India. Good rewards will be presented along with other prizes. Adding to this will be the immense knowledge & experience that the participant students & organizations will receive during RO '14.
Robotics OlympiadTM aspires to encourage more “girl” students to persuade the field of Technology, especially Robotics. In this pursuit we have taken a step to enhance the same by rewarding girl participants.
There will be nationwide contests and competitions related to Robotics Technology to infuse the passion among the young minds. Robotics Olympiad aims at building a stronger Technical expertise among the young enthusiasts of today to foster them for bigger innovations in future.
Robotics OlympiadTM endeavors to be the biggest competition across all disciplines which include Terrestrial, Aquatic & Aerial Robots. New Robots & competition types will be introduced every year, few of which being quad-copters & mobile controlled Robots in the coming editions.
Robotics OlympiadTM is organized by Techno Gravity Solutions which is an Education, Lab & Production Solutions Company which has been in the field of Robotics & Technology since 2008.
Robotics OlympiadTM is supported by EDUPRIME, the inventors of PRIME curriculum for schools. PRIME curriculum is a methodological learning system that connects Physics, Mathematics, Information Technology and Engineering using Robots. EDUPRIME is an award winning company in Robotics based Education domain.

Robotics OlympiadTM will have 3 Kits in its flagship year.
The Humanoid called "Huno" is an exciting robot platform that can walk with 2 Legs. It is one of the fanciest robots that can be built with amazing skill-sets. Controlled using a Simple Remote along with autonomous operations, it can demonstrate various dynamic actions such as walk, run, kick, head-stand, dance, exercise, etc. Using motion programming you can choreograph dancing, do martial arts, play games, wrestle using Sensors, Mobile & Remote.
The Terrestrial Robot called "Myra-Y" is a multi-functional vehicle which can be designed into various avatars (forms). It is controlled using a wireless PS2 Remote which is specially designed to control a Robot. This Terrestrial Robot can be designed as a 2 or 4 wheeled vehicle, 3 wheeled or rickshaw, wall-toppler or use the Robotic Arm for various functions. It is an exciting platform to learn Electronics and Mechanics in Robotics.
1. F1 Rickshaw
2. Rescue Robot
The Aqua Robot called "Aquana" is another innovative design which has a water canon as a weapon. It has a wired Remote control. Aquabo has a design of a boat/ship with all the necessary aesthetics and can move in all directions. The water canon will be used in a competition for the first time ever in India. This Kit will be allowed to be reconfigured by participating teams.
1. Aqua War
2. Aqua Cleaner
Robotics OlympiadTM is a challenging event which involves all the teams in a comprehensive manner at every stage. Right from assembling the kit to training & practicing for the competition, the teams will also be preparing presentations, banners, newsletters & much more to gain valuable championship points for their team and School. Additionally there are separate points for playing & winning a match in the competition. There are 6 competitions to be held in the flagship year of Robotics OlympiadTM.
1. Wrestle-o-Bot - [Future Applications: Defense System & Gaming]
Two Humanoids (Huno) will wrestle against each other in a wrestling arena. Each game will have few rounds of play where each round will have time limits. Rounds will be complex as competition progresses into higher rounds.
2. Footstick - [Future Applications: Sports & Entertainment]
It is Football + Hockey (stick). Two Humanoids (Huno) pitted against each other in a sports arena. Each Huno shall have to score as many goals using Stick attached to hand or using Legs or using its Head. Each game will be time limited.
3. F1 Rickshaw - [Future Applications: Sports & Entertainment] PS2 based wireless remote controlled cars will race against each other on F1 styled tracks. The unique feature of the race is that it will include pit stops where each 4 wheeled car has to be transformed into a 3 wheeled Rickshaw type automobile & complete the laps.
4. Rescue robot - [Future Applications: Civil Services & Defense systems]
Fire Fighter Robot (Myra-Y) has to save as many lives it can from a fire engulfed environment (a setup) within a given time frame. In the higher rounds the Robot also has to stop the fire using a water canon provided for this purpose.
5. Aqua War - [Future Applications: Defense system & civil services]
Aqua Robots / War-ships (Aquana) will face each other in a water pool and they will have to destroy the opponent's flag using water canon on-board to command victory. Flag will be of standard size, material & orientation.
6. Aqua Cleaner - [Future Application: Commercial & home applications]
Aqua Robots / War-ships (Aquana) will have to clean a dirty water-pool by collecting different materials from it. The materials need to be brought to one station using any kind of mechanism in front of each Aquana. Flexibility is offered for customization.
Note: Each Game will be moderated & reviewed by a judge. Points will be awarded in each game using respective Points chart. Rule Book & Points chart for each competition will be provided earlier for preparation.
